At a grand ceremony held in Mumbai, Dr Suchetan Pradhan , a Mumbai dental practitioner and Head of Dept of Dentistry Hinduja Hospital , was felicitated for his contribution to the high technology, ultra modern and rapidly growing field of laser dentistry.
A pioneer in Laser Dentistry Dr Suchetan Pradhan was awarded a Masters Degree, from six universities that came together under the aegis of EMDOLA to award a combined degree. ,The six European Nation universities , Aachen University – Germany, University of Belgium, University of Nice – France, University of Parma – Italy, University of Barcelona – Spain, and University of Rome,” la Spienza,” Italy combined forces to create a uniform, intense and rigorous curriculum.
The award was presented by Dr Anil Kohli , President of DCI, (Dental Council of India) the governing body of Dental education in India in the presence of an array of Deans and teachers from varied , top notch dental schools in India.
Speaking on the occasion Dr Kholi declared that laser dentistry would hence forth be included in the undergraduate curriculum of all Dental schools. A forward thinking President, he emphasised the need for embracing this technology with the greatest speed as delays in integration of newer technologies was the bane of Indian systems. “Being the only Indian from a batch of 55 students, world wide, that were hand-picked for excellence was an honour.”, opined Dr Pradhan.
Dr. Suchetan Pradhan is a pioneer of Laser & Implant dentistry in India and is also the president of the Indian Academy of Laser dentistry.
